For your final project, you must use technology to create one of the following:

  1. A thing you will cherish
  2. A gift you will give to someone
  3. Something you can sell

Choose only one and accomplish the objective thoughtfully. Your goal is something less didactic, more exploratory, and more open-ended.

This projects is intended to complicate to the critical relationship to technology you have developed thus far. What happens after critique? How can we continue to notice creative opportunities in technology? How can we leave the door open for desire? How do avoid a paranoid perspective when thinking about emerging technology?

Whichever objective you choose, you should be thinking about yourself, your human-ness, and your relationship to the world against the backdrop of criticality. Each objective prompts a different relationship:

This project will be critiqued in two shifts so that critiques can be longer. We will critique Group 1 on November 25. Group 2 will go on December 2. This unfairness is necessary to have meaningful conversation. Critiques will be 30 minutes long.
